This small series of four collages aims to capture the relationship between humans and animals: useful, useless, necessary.

It is based on my own ideas around the scope and nature of figurative collage. To make sure each image would convey the expressivity I was after, I tried to use as few details as possible; this was by far the most difficult part. 

I decided to work in black and white because I wanted my images - however difficult their construction - to be clear, crisp and intuitive.
